Responsibilities & Job Context
Job Context:
The Officer – Microfinance & Community Development will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, monitoring, and impact assessment of microfinance and development initiatives. The role involves working closely with community leaders, local entrepreneurs, and vulnerable groups to promote economic empowerment and social sustainability. The officer will work under the guidance of the Program Manager – Microfinance & Development and collaborate with field teams to ensure effective program execution.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the loan disbursement, repayment collection, and financial tracking of microfinance programs in accordance with organizational policies.

Conduct community outreach and awareness campaigns to promote financial literacy and social development programs.

Monitor and support entrepreneurs, small business owners, and marginalized groups in utilizing financial resources effectively.

Assist in designing and implementing capacity-building programs for beneficiaries in entrepreneurship, vocational skills, and financial management.

Regularly visit field locations to assess the impact of microfinance programs and provide recommendations for improvement.

Maintain and update records of all beneficiaries, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Collaborate with local government bodies, community-based organizations (CBOs), and partner NGOs to enhance program reach and effectiveness.

Support disaster relief efforts by coordinating emergency financial assistance and recovery programs for affected communities.

Assist in organizing training workshops, community meetings, and financial inclusion seminars.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational financial policies and procedures.

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on program performance and beneficiary impact for senior management.

Manage complaints and grievances related to microfinance programs and take necessary corrective actions.

Coordinate field staff training and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service delivery.
